So now the summer is officially here and I have completed my second year at college. It is now time to get a few things…or in my case a lots of things, back on track. The past year has certainly been a rollercoaster of emotions and life has most definitely thrown a fair few challenges my way…but nothing I can not deal with. Now feels like the perfect time to really gain some motivation and focus on myself; mentally and physically, with no distractions or college work getting in the way.

To make a start on this, I have started a new job which is going great, so I now need to start saving for travelling and future plans. I have began daily exercise routines in order to get fit, but most importantly to help me mentally. Exercise is most definitely the best way of feeling happy and positive about yourself as well as eating a healthy and maintaining a balanced diet, making sure you drink plenty of water too. I have also picked up meditation again and mindfulness, which is the best way to reflect and take time out to relax. Even if you do this for 5 minutes, it helps to clear your mind of any worries or distractions that you have in life. A long with this, I have bought myself a book where I can log daily goals and tick them off as I achieve them. This is a great way to get them done…for me anyway, because I love ticking things off and having the pleasure of knowing I have completed something.

So there are a few changes I will be making this summer and will be sure to  stick to them. But one of the biggest changes I will be making is to be sure that I blog at least once a week…it is one of my biggest passions which I tend to forget about or stick on the side-line and leave for months and months. Summer is the perfect time to get back on track with regular blog posts and to get motivated.

So here’s to summer…
